The Ice Cream Truck From Hell

Food Trucks are all the rage in NYC.
It’s a cool idea and the few I have tried have been very good.
Then there’s the Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream Truck.
If you think their name is pretentious, that’s nothing
compared to the ice cream flavors they create…
and somehow sell.
- Earl Grey Tea Ice Cream
- Basil Peppercorn Ice Cream
- Salted Bourbon and Caramel Ice Cream
- Rosewater Cardamom Ice Cream
- Maple ice cream with cayenne spiced candied walnuts
- Ginger Ice Cream
I enjoy trying adventurous foods every now and then.
Adventurous NOT ridiculous.
So here’s how I figure their business works:
A hipster buys one…hates it…and tells the other hipsters it’s great.
They in turn taste it, hate it and rave about it to others.
This goes on and on, like one big hipster ponzi scheme, until the ice cream truck goes out of business or Williamsburg is attacked by aliens. Whichever comes first.
