…and that wasn’t the only controversy at the tournament.
Other players did the following:
Stole the letters “S” and “E” and “X,” explaining “I wanted to have sex in my pants.”
Claimed the the word “BOGGLE” is not allowed because it is the name of a rival game.
Took a blank tile and drew a smiley face on it.
Distracted his opponents by screaming “You sunk my battleship!” every time someone put down a word.
Put down the tiles “NIEBD” and claimed it was the word monkeys always type when put in front of a typewriter.
Spelled the word “RELIEF” and another claimed it was actually “R-O-L-A-I-D-S.”
Two words: “Tile-Counting.”
A past champion spelled the word “ASS” and laughed uncontrollably for half an hour.
